The initial SCP-519 was an early SCP posted to 4chan’s /x/ board that foreshadowed many traits for the genre of containment fiction. The structure of SCP-519 was also novel and included more formalized sections to the documentation by using formal headers for the facility the anomaly is contained at, the anomaly’s physical capabilities and metrics, research priority, common activity, etc. The containment procedures are also notable for their reinforced use of the passive voice, and more targeted use of grammar.
